St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church holds its annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m. Open to the public for adults ages 21 and older, the evening brings German food, a Biergarten, live polka music and dancing to Parish Hall and the parish grounds.

Food and drinks
Oktoberfest begins at 4:00 p.m. with German food, drinks and seasonal decorations inside Parish Hall and in the Biergarten.
The 2026 menu includes:
- Currywurst, bratwurst, sauerbraten and frankfurters
- German potato salad, potato pancakes, sauerkraut and spaetzle
- Bavarian pretzels
- German chocolate cake
- Apple strudel
Sun King Oktoberfest, Cream Ale and Osiris are on offer, along with wine, apple cider, bottled water and soft drinks.
Music and dancing
Polkamotion performs from 6:00 to 10:30 p.m. The Indianapolis-area band plays polkas, waltzes and other dance music, with the dance floor open throughout the performance.
A stein-holding contest and a prize for the best Oktoberfest attire are at 9:00 p.m.
Raffle
A raffle drawing takes place at 10:00 p.m., and you do not need to be present to win. Parish households receive tickets in the mail, and tickets are also available at the parish office and during Oktoberfest.
Pumpkinfest earlier in the day
Oktoberfest is the evening half of a single day at St. Alphonsus. Pumpkinfest runs from noon to 4:00 p.m. and is open to all ages, with free hayrides, pumpkin decorating, face painting, a petting zoo, games and bounce houses. The Oktoberfest menu is available in Parish Hall during those hours, and the Biergarten is open as well.
