Zionsville will celebrate the grand reopening of Lincoln Park following a major 2026 revitalization of the town’s oldest park. The project added accessible pathways, updated plantings, and a new centerpiece gazebo and fountain.
Called Love Lincoln: Lincoln’s Legacy, the reopening celebration also recognizes the park’s place in Zionsville history. The site was once home to the town’s railway depot and is connected to Abraham Lincoln’s 1861 whistle-stop visit to Zionsville. The celebration also connects the park’s history with the America 250 commemoration.

Opening Day Celebration

The afternoon will include live 19th-century American music and interpretive storytelling by an Abraham Lincoln impersonator about Lincoln’s life, values and historical connection to the site. Local leaders will formally mark the park’s reopening with a ribbon cutting.
The event will also include an American flag raising by Boy Scout Den 358, community booths, and remarks from the Zionsville mayor and other participants highlighting the park’s transformation and history.
Parking
Free public parking lots are at the northwest corner of Main Street and Sycamore Street and the southwest corner of Main Street and Pine Street. Street parking is also available throughout the downtown area. See the downtown parking section for details.
