Zionsville Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

The Zionsville Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, with a parade through the Village followed by the town tree lighting at Main and Pine Streets. It opens the Christmas in the Village season.

What’s planned for 2026

The evening includes:

• 5:00 PM — Christmas parade begins at Eagle Elementary
• ~6:00 PM — Parade ends on Main Street
• Immediately after the parade — Christmas tree lighting at Main and Pine Streets with Santa and Mrs. Claus
• After the tree lighting — Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus

The Christmas in the Village season

The parade and tree lighting mark the start of Christmas in the Village, with downtown shopping events, Santa visits, and ticketed events continuing through Christmas Eve. Brick-paved Main Street, holiday lights, and decorated storefronts also make the Village a popular destination for Christmas shopping, photos, and evening walks.

Where: Main Street, downtown Zionsville · Tree lighting at 100 W Pine St
Admission: Free
Dress warmly: This is an outdoor evening event in late November. Bring coats, hats, and gloves, especially if you plan to stand along the parade route.

Parking:
Parking fills quickly throughout the Village for the parade and tree lighting, so arrive early if you want to park closer to the route.

The largest public lot is at the northwest corner of Main Street and Sycamore Road, with access from First Street. The lot at the southwest corner of Main and Pine Streets is closed for the tree lighting.

Additional parking is available on nearby side streets and in public lots throughout the Village, including Lions Park. Many parking areas are within an easy walk of the parade route.
