The Town of Zionsville is moving ahead with plans for a new fire station to serve the west side of town. The facility, known as Station 295, will be built at 3302 E. 550 S., just west of I-65. Work is scheduled to commence this spring with completion targeted by year's end.
The new station will replace the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department and expand emergency response coverage for growing areas of the community. Plans call for five apparatus bays, living quarters for firefighters, and room for future expansion as the town continues to grow.
